Below you will find answers to the questions we get asked the most about the VSLA and Investment clubs platform.

What are the requirements to use the savings group App?

A savings group must have at least 1 Smartphone to be used to record their transactions and Internet connection to access the application. The Smart phone should be running Android version 5 and above. Members of savings groups don't need to have smartphones, they could access their account on USSD using any basic phone.

Is the savings group app a Web based or Mobile App?

The savings group app has three components: (1)- The web app which is a reporting tool used by the partner organizations or group administrators, (2)- Savings group mobile app used by the group leaders to manage the group record and transactions, and the (3)- Group USSD app which is used by the groups members to check their savings balances, get mini statements, apply for loans and check their outstanding loan amounts.

How do I download the savings group app?

You can download the savings groups app from Playstore. Search for "Mobis Groups" and then proceed with the download.

Is the app free?

There will be a small cost for onboarding and training and then we charge a very minimal monthly licensing fee per member. But you could get the app free if you have a bank account with one of our partner banks. Contact us to find out how you get this benefit.
